coffee. swearing. two year olds.
three things that appear to not go together but are somehow drawn to each other. our little one has always enjoyed the taste of coffee, not that we let him drink it or anything. we just like most parents let our child experience different taste as he grows to hopefully help him be a little more well rounded in what he might like. also, like most parents, we just figure 'hey, he wont like it' or 'let's just give him straight black coffee so it will be bitter and that will teach him'. and backfire it did. kid just loved it and still knows exactly what it is, though now he refers to it as 'mommy's coffee' and only rarely says he needs it.
but just like coffee not leaving a bitter taste in his mouth, so have choice words sweetly rolled off his tongue. I will now list anything out, but I am sure you get the idea of what it might contain. not really sure how it started, or who might be to blame. all I know is hearing it flow from a child under 3 feet tall is slightly cute, slightly maddening, slightly humorous, and slightly embarrassing. interesting though is the look on a parents face the first time they hear one of the choice words. shock, anger and little snicker that they try to hide. can't let the child see the smile or hear the laugh otherwise you will not hear the end of that particular word for quite a while.
enough of this. nothing new to report on anything else. went to work and put up a shelf. spent some time with the family and soon will put this day to bed.
