Won a wii game last week with this spongebob styled entry. The contest was from TheWiire.com and the entries can be seen here. Now just waiting on my new copy of Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors to fill some of the hours when reality just isnt enough.

Actually did some carving today. Been quite a while and I completely forgot how much this can strain your hand while working. I have carved quite a few glasses over the past 5 years or so and each one is by hand with a dremel tool and little diamond tipped bits. Slow process but I feel the individuality and detail are worth it. None of the glasses I make will ever be the same twice, no matter how many times I make them. This was the second time I carved the Steelers logo and to my surprise, was not any easier than the last time. Something about carving a circle on a curved piece of glass that is tricky. Imagine that. Anyway, at least I did it again as I do miss making stuff. More carving images behind the "carvings" button above.

Working on the house seems to be never ending. Little projects keep coming up as soon as another one is complete. Patch some holes, replace outlets, change a light fixture, replace a door.... and so on. Amazing how much ambition you can have starting on these projects and soon enough never want to work on any of them again, exactly why I am online now. Nothing interesting to show yet, still working on that. Gonna carve some glasses, work on a projector, play some games and maybe do a little web work. Time to put the child down for a nap... hopefully. will keep this going later.

sad how often we can work on something and never notice the little details... myself, I finally noticed a little glitch in my template setup that doesnt follow into the archived pages. shame on me, must get to work on that. got some new projects going on and finishing some old ones. might just have to put up some images and show them off... sometime soon, but not before I get my site back inline.

sadly enough, in this day of easily accessable technology, I fell off the face of the internet. access to the online world disappeared shortly after my last post and kept me disconnected, save when at work, until about a week ago. remembered a little about what life was like back before high speed always on internet. not worrying about checking emails, looking for deals, finding the answers to pointless questions just cause you can, and even working while away from work though your spouse doesn't like it.
now that I have re-established my connection with what seems to make me more comfortable with the world I can move forward, rant a little and be back to the life i have grown very accustomed to. a life of family, work and random bits of things that make me smile.
moving on... spring is coming, snow is melting, anxiety to start doing something outside. plans to remodel, build things, go places and play in the sunshine. but these things are still a little while away as the snow just keeps on coming.
On a quick side note, I did finally draw something last week for basically the first time in years. i made a pencil drawing of a car for my son, not the greatest drawing I have ever made, but also not the worst. so far too lazy to scan it in or photograph it, but if I do, I will post it.
